Facebook (FB) is still the number one social networking site, and now that year 2009 is about to say Good-Bye, Facebook still stands tall and we don’t know what will happen in 2010, and it may possibly take over Google, the top internet company in the world, but I doubt it.

Facebook changed its design in 2008, and it did it again in 2009. Many people were upset about it and some even tried to deactivate their Facebook accounts, but they couldn’t do it for very long.

Facebook also changed the design for groups and fan pages, and they look very similar. Now, there is a live time feed update option as well & by clicking View News Feed, you can get the latest information first.

Facebook also started verifying fan pages, and most people who had pointless pages or groups like “I really want to talk to you, but there is nothing to talk about” lost access to the posting rights. Even I lost my Facebook Fan Page Ownership and posting rights.

The very last thing that upset many people was new privacy settings. Now, you can’t hide your Facebook friends from your own friends, which means they can see how many friends you have. With these settings, you can see people’s profile pictures and some don’t even know how to hide their profile pictures album. This is one of the things I don’t like about the new privacy settings. This makes Facebook not so private.

The only reason FB didn’t delete their fan pages/groups because they want people to stay at their site and not feel bored but not give the page/group creator access, but is it right Facebook?

Ok, so now my publishing rights have been blocked due to a violation of the Pages Terms of Use. This is what the email said:

Among other things, Facebook restricts the publishing rights of inauthentic Pages that impersonate other entities, represent generic concepts, spam users, or otherwise violate our Terms of Use. These policies are designed to ensure Facebook remains a safe, secure and trusted environment for all users.

Please note that fans can still see the Page and search for it since it has not been removed from the site. However, any custom URL you had set for the Page has been removed due to the Terms of Use violation.

So now I can’t update my fans and my page doesn not violate any TOS. I replied to them and lets see what they say about this?

Update # 2:
Since I already had a link to my fan page, I replied to Facebook Support Team Email which said I lost my Publishing rights and told them about the exact location of the link and asked them nicely to give back my publishing rights. The next morning, I got my publishing rights back. The short URL was not set, so I had to re-register my username for the page.

Although, as I visit Google Homepage everytime, I expect to see something new, and seeing the same search term for a few days makes me wonder if Google team forgot to update the homepage. I am sure most visitors also feel the same way.

Their ads clearly violate Facebook’s Policy, and Zynga seems like does not care about it’s visitors. If this is the attitude, no doubt there will be more than 1 groups that say Don’t send me Farmville requests. Many users have blocked farmville as they dont want to be farmers, and really don’t want to waste their time to on online flash game.

The company makes a total of $39M per year, and the revenue will increase because the games like FarmVille, and other -Ville games are getting famous and people are getting addicted to them. Although, these games do not help and are taking people’s time and kid’s dont’ do their homework and get on Facebook to play Games by Zynga.

Zynga has put their game ads inside their other games, so they can get other users to join new games and this strategy has been used by other Game Developers as well. Texas Hold’Em is the most visited game by Zynga, but Farmville will cross it, as more people are getting addicted daily.
