Great KL Saigal had deeply affected a full generation of singers in their early performances, whether it may be Mukesh, Rafi or Kishore. CH Atma was the only one who succeeded in having all the specialties of Saigal in his voice and style. Later when everybody else developed his own style, it became a tragedy for CH Atma. Now Atma is known mostly for one of his so many best song, 'Roun Main Sagar Ke Kinare'. This song of Nagina film was always demanded by the audience in the stage shows also. Once on this demand, CH Atma had commented sarcastically - 'Bees Saal se Sagar Kinare Wale Flat Mein Ro Hi To Raha Hun, Aap Kehte Hain to Yahan Bhi Ro Leta Hun !' Once OP Nayyar had prepared a beautiful composition for a song written by his wife and called CH Atma to sing it. This Song remained in darkness for four years for want of a fil and a situation, and when came to public as a non film song, it still remains a most popular number - 'Preetam Aan Milo'. Later, OP Nayyar rerecorded this song in the voice of Geeta Dutt for the film Mr. & Mrs. 55.
