October 25, 2006 - It has been reported that Twentieth Century FOX has delayed production of the massively popular animated program Family Guy due to contract negotiations with the series' creator, Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane has seven months left on his current contract, but due to the uncertainty of the overall contract, FOX has decided to halt the production of the 2007-08 season. Creating seasons of animated programming takes a bit of preparation, and due to Seth's schedule with his many projects, the new season was originally going to start production on Monday. Due to concerns, FOX and MacFarlane are stressing that the contract negotiation will be finalized in the next couple weeks, so that they will keep on track for the production of Family Guy. Seth MacFarlane is not only is the creator for Family Guy, but is also in charge of many of the main voices on the show. Also keeping him busy are American Dad, which follows the same animated comedy route as Family Guy, and his upcoming live-action comedy The Winner.
