Description HD Ver.→ vimeo.com YCAM 「大友良英 / ENSEMBLES」 2008年7月5日-10月13日Filament［大友良英＋Sachiko M］ 「filaments」 YCAM内の図書館全館をつかったインスタレーション。4チャンネルのスピーカーを設置し、閉館後の1時間余、Filamentによる静かな音源が流れます。小さなLEDライトが図書館の広範囲の本棚に多数設置され、バラバラに点滅を繰り返します。ほとんど気づかないような音量、可聴域ぎりぎりの周波数の音の断片、さらには光の点滅がランダムに絡み合い、閉館後の暗い図書館を彩ります。 観客は、図書館を見渡すころのできる渡り廊下からこの作品を鑑賞します。 よく耳を澄ませると、環境音のなかからFilamentのアンサンブルが現れてきます。 YCAM "Otomo Yoshihide / ENSEMBLES" 2008.7.5-10.13 Filament [Otomo Yoshihide＋Sachiko M] Four speakers are set up in the library. The quiet sound of Filament flows for an hour after the library is closed. While small LED lights set on the bookshelves in the library flash repeatedly, the sound fragments intertwine at random, sometimes in the volume hardly noticeable and sometimes within a barely audible frequency range. Listening carefully, you will hear Filaments ensemble in the ambient noise.
