From scenes of a camp fire in the stark and pristine' Gir forest to praising the fragrance of faith' at Somnath Temple, Amitabh Bachchan takes the audience through a tour of Kutch, Gir and Somnath in the first set of 60-second films titled, Khushboo Gujarat ki' released by the state tourism department on Thursday. The state information department gave out the CDs showing Bachchan as the brand ambassador of the state, in both English and Hindi languages, promoting Gujarat as a major tourist destination. Bachchan dons different avatars in the video, from a cowboy attire in the jungles of Gir shooting lions with his camera through a devotee in Somnath to the closing shot of Bachchan shouting "Aei bhai" in a traditional Kutchi kediyu. The videos on Kutch capture the white Rann of salt deposits under the moonlight and the pride of lions with their playful cubs from close quarters. At the Somnath temple where sea waves hit its walls, Bachchan with folded hands pays obeisance to Lord Shiva and talks about the mythical significance of the temple and the importance of the temple which stood tall against foreign invasions.
