Description 720p version: www.youtube.com The Helios screensaver from Really Slick Screensavers. Link: www.reallyslick.com One of the 11 screensavers currently available from reallyslick.com, Helios makes use of attraction/repulsion particle effects and smooth implicit surfaces to achieve what you see here. First made for Windows, it has been ported to Mac OS and several Linux distros IIRC. Personally, I found than having 3000 particles moving in a very organized pattern on-screen rather hypnotic, and I prefer this over the 'Solar Winds' screensaver also from Really Slick. Ran on an old laptop with these specs: - Pentium M 740 1.73GHz w/ 533MHz FSB - 2GB DDR2 SDRAM @ 533MHz - ATI Mobility Radeon X700 Omega 4.8.442 @ 1280x800 32-bit colour - 160GB Samsung HM160HC IDE HDD - Windows XP Service Pack 3 Minimal CPU occupation, using about only 15% CPU power on the average on my laptop. Recorded using FRAPS (Since Helios uses frame buffering, allowing FRAPS to capture it) BGM is 'Water Nursery' from 'The Forest Show'.
