Description Riot police used truncheons, tear gas, stun grenades and "less lethal" weapons in an hours-long attempt to turn back hundreds of protesters in downtown Oakland on the evening of Tuesday, October 25th. The extraordinary scenes played out some twelve hours after police used chemical agents to clear the tent city that had occupied Frank Ogawa Plaza for the previous two weeks. At least 85 were arrested during that morning raid; no word yet on the evening arrests, though KCBS reported at least 5 additional protesters were arrested.
