Description Czech historical movie, the last part of Otakar Vavra's hussite trilogy. July 1420: The crusade army of the Roman king Sigismund besieges Prague, where united forces of hussite parties (utraquists and taborites) gathered for defence. The only way to the city assuring food supply runs around the hill Vitkov east of Prague. Taborites under the lead of Jan Zizka quickly build a wooden fortress on the top of the hill. Since Sigismund doesn't want to risk a direct attack on the walls, he at first decides to defeat Vitkov's defenders and subsequently starve out the city.
