Shafqat is youger brother of Asad Amanat Ali who was great son of a great father Ustad Amanat Ali Khan..He is related to (nephew of) Hamid Ali Khan and Ustad Fateh Ali Khan..all legends of Patiala Gharana of classical music. Here Shafqat is singing his version of the famous Mehdi Hassan song from Movie SaiQa. He is rendering it for Hum Tv's Drama Serial SaiQa which is a remake of Razi Butt's novel SaiQa too. This song was one of the best if not the best by lyricist Masroor Anwar (Sohni Dharti Allah Rakhay fame & BaRay Baymurawwat hain ye Husn Walay Film Badnam fame alongwith hundreds of another beautiful Tv & Film songs na few Qawwalies like in Talash n Saughat) and of course the authentic composition stamp of Nisar Bazmi on the original song. The lyrics n the tune has been kept similar to the original and thats why you'll like the song or melody atleast :) and last but not least my favourite little beauty Jugan Kazim can be seen prevailing the screen during and after 2nd stanza :) Enjoy the Music.
