These gigantic Ganesh idols are kept for public display for Eleven days, During these eleven days, people visit pandals, perform aartis(prayers), make offerings, eat modak (sweets) and celebrate the divine spirit of the festival.
On the eleventh day which is called as Anant Chaturdashi they are been immersed into the Arabian Sea. With mixed emotions .
